How Submission Works
The Review Process
When it comes to rules and regulations, Apple and Google have the final say. The team at Pilr has done their best to ensure that your app has the lowest possible chance of getting rejected, but we can never guarantee a 100% success rate.
Under the rare circumstances that either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store rejects your app, we will notify you as soon as possible with details on how to update your app to satisfy their requirements.
Pilr also has the authority to reject your app, but this usually only happens in two cases:
- Minor setup issues — for example, a page that hasn’t been configured correctly or another small detail that can be quickly fixed.
- Content violations — if your app doesn’t meet Apple’s or Google’s requirements. Instead of waiting days for their response, our review team can fast-track these rejections thanks to their in-depth knowledge of app store regulations.
Once again, we will always give you specific details on how to fix any necessary changes.
NOTE: Pilr automatically creates the screenshots that are displayed the stores' listing for the app. If you would like to use custom screenshots, please create a new support ticket.
Wait Times
Apple and Google typically take 24–72 hours to review and publish an app. Pilr submits your app within about 24 hours, and you’ll receive an email update every time the app's status changes. Keep in mind that all three — Pilr, Apple, and Google — only operate on business days, so if you submit on a weekend, you may need to wait until Monday to start seeing progress.
NOTE: From now on, this documentation will refer to Apple and Google as "the stores."
